December 20th Topic: A Structured Networking Plan for Jobs
Presenter: Paul Cameron, President of DriveStaff and Founder of SpeedUpMyJobSearch.com
At our November meeting, we dove deeply into what job seekers want from Networking Training, and what’s available. In December, using this feedback, Paul will present the structure developed to address these needs and solicit feedback from the attendees on the new program. Everyone attending the event in person will get free access to the new course to provide feedback. The last two weeks of the year are often a slower period for job seekers, which presents a perfect time to learn and improve skills. Our attendees in December will have that opportunity. Paul has already created an advanced networking course for live events covering strategic preparation tactics, how to maximize time while there, how to start & exit conversations, and how to automate follow up after events. Now he’s looking to create a course on daily, proactive networking which will specifically cover where to get names, how to approach them, how to build more names to grow the network, and how to maintain the network. This will be the next iteration of this already comprehensive course. We hope you’ll join us and take part in the process.
*For SpeedUpMyJobSearch.com Members who cannot attend, we will record this seminar and include it the JDNG Job Club section under the Resources tab.
Digital Headshots for LinkedIn, Business Cards, and more!
Want a professional headshot, but can’t justify $100+ to get one?
Does a $40 donation to a charitable organization sound better?
Wheaton Lodge 269 donates time and money to local food pantries, sponsors the Wheaton North HS academic teams, packs meals for shelters, but generates virtually no income for themselves. So, we will be taking digital headshots for social media profiles, including a free, 6-page Proactive LinkedIn Strategy Guide, and business card template to use your headshot on a Vista Print business card, all for $40 immediately after our meeting.
Pictures will be from 1pm to 2pm, so please indicate if you want a headshot when you RSVP. Thank you!
Meets: 3rd Thursday every month to discuss networking tactics and search strategies.
Video recordings of every presentation will be available to all members of SpeedUpMyJobSearch.com.
RSVP is not required, but highly encouraged and sincerely appreciated.

No, bringing your ticket is not required.
What are my parking options?
There is a free (but small) parking lot connected to the building, free parking on the street, and a very large parking garage with 300 free parking spots one block West on Wesley St.
If the Mason parking lot is full (it usually is), then exit the lot, take a left, go to the next block and take a left to the lot. The arrows below animate this exciting journey to the big parking garage.
It’s 3-minute walk away, a 5-minute stroll, and 10-minute meander. Go at your own pace. See you Thursday!
